Topic: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

Hi.

Im developing something like a file-based CMS with database management, that will be released as open source. It uses xajax and Dojo (only widgets, not .io), but Dojo is optional (I have "interface complexity levels", if you use Opera, you will not see Dojo-style windows).

I call it "Nido"(nest in spanish), is not done but It has the windowing system working, if you want to give it a look, here are two links:

working demo: http://www.nabla.net/solo/nido
developing site: http://nido.nabla.net

All the objects, properties and methods are named in spanish.

I know that the server is very slow the first time you enter, but

I will appreciate very much some feedback.
Dojo widgets are not a good choice?
It does not work?

Re: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

my firefox crashes everytime I try to open the page... your server is toooo slow

Re: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

Oh, so thats what it looks like not in Opera smile

Looks pretty good, though I couldn't get the video working.

Re: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

txema,

This is quite interesting, however, using Opera, I'm not able to get the results that you've shown in the above examples.  Perhaps I can try again with IE or FF.  Keep up the good work.

Re: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

You can override interface setting for Opera forcing an "interface complexity level"
This is: http://nido.nabla.net/pn/solo/nido/inde … plejidad=4
Probably it will work for a while, then your Opera will crash.

I have a Wii and an Archos604W running Opera, and they were browsing fine until I swiched to Dojo. Too heavy, i supose.

I want to have 4 levels
1.- No xajax and plain HTML
2.- Plain HTML but xajax enabled
3.- Light Widgets  (Menu Tigra 2.0, Prototype Window Class)
4.- Dojo Widgets

The Nido project has been working in all this levels, but now i am tryin to make it at level 4, later i will try to go back and get running the others. You can see the Nido at level 3 as a PostNuke Module here: http://nido.nabla.net/pn/html/index.php?name=nido

And there was a minimalistic version of level 4, with the source code, here: http://nido.nabla.net/pn/simple/nido/

But remember, this is a fkng Spanish home DSL sad that uploads 12Kbps , I will pay soon to get a decent hosting.

Re: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

txema,

I have some hosting and bandwidth that could be used (at least for a short term), contact me via the board here and we'll talk about it.

Re: Another CMS with desktop simulation.

Thanks CtC, I appreciate very much your offer, but at least I paid and now http://www.nabla.net/simple/nido/ is in a pro hosting, and it seems to go much faster than my DSL.

Source code is in http://www.nabla.net/simple/nido/simple.zip, that is not a release, may be useful for somebody.

Now I have to do the paid job, so Nido is standing by, but i will be back soon with it.
