Re: Windowing System

Cool. I'd like to have the source too.

Please add download link after you finish your first beta.

Re: Windowing System

That looks great!
I'm curious to see any elements in the window.

Re: Windowing System

Thank you for replying! cool
I'll share the code soon...

I need just some more time to test and add comments to make the code readeable big_smile

Re: Windowing System

One suggestion. Add minimal size (height and width) for windows.

Re: Windowing System

Thank you for suggestion Messiah!
I've added windows customizable min width and height big_smile

Re: Windowing System

really great work. i hope you will release the source very soon smile  (i am using an similar windowing system, but your System is better big_smile)

Re: Windowing System

looks like http://prototype-window.xilinus.com/ - that's what I'm using atm. But I would be interested too see some sourcecode and try it out on my own wink

Re: Windowing System

@communicationsevolve
I just had a peek into your finestra.js. I saw that you put it under GPL. Is there any chance that you might switch to LGPL or another similar license?

@tl2000
Which one do you use?

Re: Windowing System

That is really really really cool smile

You might want to look at it in Opera tho.. a lot of the images for the borders mess up on page load, minimise and maximise.

Re: Windowing System

communicationsevolve - koolio!

I've been looking to do the same thing.

I'm lazy so I've been using YUI - it's loaded with a bunch of goodness! See example, http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples … kin/2.html

or even sweeter is Jack Slocum's YUI extension? Here's an example - http://www.jackslocum.com/blog/2006/12/ … g-example/

Philosophy is to use one library instead piece mealing stuff together. Let someone else do the heavy lifting - especially the testing. That's why I really appreciate all of the great work being performed on xajax!

Re: Windowing System

Hi!! cool
Thank you for suggestion BigBrownChunx! I hope to fix Opera problems soon.
@ralf: if you need windows for a commercial work contact me by mail big_smile

You can download my first beta from here!
Download Site!
ENJOY!

I hope to read some other comments or feature requests wink

Re: Windowing System

Hi Max,

I gave it a try and it worked quite nice for a first shot (http://wtdb.goldenzazu.de).

You asked for feature requests:
- options for no resize, no move and no close
- option for modal dialog
- support of long content with a scrollbar

Good work so far!
Ralf

Re: Windowing System

Hi all!
Version 0.1.1 released still in the bed tongue
Added no resize and no move options to the class constructor wink
For no close option you can use  function

set_buttons($minimize = true, $maximize = true, $close = true)

to hide close button ($close=0)
Added long content support in css setting text overflow to auto
For modal windows...i first need a coffy roll

Simply download new package and overwrite library files wink

If you need it for commercial use you could use the prototype-window.xilinus class.. its under MIT (which allows commercial use?).

Re: Windowing System

Greetings. You checked work of a window in IE7? I have noticed a small bug in IE7: a blinking of a contained window.

Sorry for my bad English
